First Day of School

Kaya is officially a first grader!!!! Wow! Kaya is such a social girl and loves to be with her friends and doing things. The summer got a little boring for her and I think she's excited to have something to look forward to every day now. Homework and nightly reading will keep us both busy but it's amazing to see her growth and potential. I hope she has a super first day of school!Kaya & her friend Sydney

Happy Birthday Logan!

Logan is FINALLY 4 years old!! He has only been asking every day for the last 2 weeks, "Is it my birthday yet? Am I 4 years old yet? Are you making my birthday cake?". He came into our bedroom at 6:30 am on the morning of his birthday and asked again if it was his birthday. The smile on his face was priceless when he realized he was officially 4 years old. Happy Birthday, Buddy!

Happy Birthday Emily!!!

We recently celebrated Emily's 2nd Birthday. She LOVED opening the presents. She wanted to try on all the clothes and play with each toy immediately.

Emily is such a sweet girl and we are lucky to have her in our family!

What's New?

First of all I'm still pregnant! As of yesterday - 37 weeks along. The baby is now considered full term. We had a trial run to the hospital last weekend when I was having contractions about 5 minutes apart. I figured they would check me out and send me home. The kept me for 4 hours and reluctantly let me go home. Aaron had just gotten home from Scout camp and was exhausted. I hadn't progressed very much and opted to take my chances of laboring at home and coming back if this was the real deal. The contractions lessened throughout the night and so far so good. I've been trying to take it easy to make sure baby can stay in as long as needed. Yes...I'm ready to be DONE being pregnant but having a healthy baby is more important.A couple of weekends ago I drove the kids down to Las Vegas by myself. This was a last minute trip to go visit my 80 year old great aunt who is going to be moving to Texas. It had been 2 years since I had last seen her and I really wanted the opportunity to visit with her before she moved. We met up with my parents and had a quick weekend filled with lots of swimming and visiting family. It was a really quick trip with a lot of driving but it was good. I forgot to take pictures. Here's one from the drive home at one point where all 3 kids fell asleep. NICE!

Swimming Lessons

Kaya & Logan took swimming lessons this year. They really had a good time and I enjoyed watching them learn. The favorite part of each lesson was jumping off the diving board!

Happy 4th of July!! (A Little Late)

We like to dress up for the 4th with our patriotic clothes. This year the 4th fell on a Sunday and I found some nice matching ties for the men and some cute dresses for the girls!
